About Me
I’m Bradon Coy, an undergraduate at the University of Florida studying Biological Sciences of Insects (GPA 3.73, Dean’s List Spring 2025). I’m also the founder of Lil Dudes Insect Academy, where I create educational content and host podcasts and workshops to inspire curiosity about insects. My work blends entomological research, science communication, and community outreach, with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusion in STEM.

Research & Publications
My research experience includes studies on microplastics in freshwater invertebrates, cuticular hydrocarbon variation in ants across climate zones, and upcoming work on the antifungal properties of Argentine ant pheromones. I’ve presented at the Entomological Society of America’s annual meeting and have authored a beekeeping and bee biology curriculum for K-12 education.

Outreach & Skills
Through Lil Dudes Insect Academy and the UF Entomology Department, I’ve led bug camps, workshops, and virtual lectures for hundreds of K-12 students nationwide. I also produce entomology-focused YouTube videos and podcasts. My skills range from insect curation and lab techniques to science communication, curriculum design, and content creation using Adobe Creative Suite.
